1. What is
Ganoderma Nutriceutical?
Nutriceutical is
especially used to describe the function of Ganoderma (also call
Reishi or Lingzhi) this is a food or naturally occurring food
supplement thought to have a beneficial effect on human
health.
2. Can Ganoderma
be taken with Western medications?
Yes.
Lingzhi itself is a natural fungal product, and Ganoderma is the
concentrated form of the active polysaccharide extracts. It will
not produce any adverse reactions with either Chinese herbal
remedies or Western medicine.
On the contrary, it will complement and enhance their therapeutic
properties, and at the same time minimise their toxic effect on the
human body.

3. Why do some
people develop symptoms such as a dry mouth, irritability and
constipation after taking Lingzhi?
This can
be explained by the body reaction (not side effect) of taking
Lingzhi or simply as a natural process of illness reversal. Lingzhi
improves one's health state, replenishes fluids and electrolytes
and enhances the detoxification process. Therefore, one should not
worry if symptoms begin to appear.
If the paradoxical effects are particularly severe, discontinuing
the supplement is recommended for a short time. After that intake
may be resumed with plenty of water and fluids until the effects
have decreased. When that occurs, you are on the path to
recovery.
4. Under
what circumstances is not recommended for taking
Lingzhi?
Lingzhi is
not recommended under some circumstances. It is a
misconception that Lingzhi causes adverse effects. Adverse effects
may arise while taking Lingzhi because some people are unaware of
certain contraindications.
These
contraindications include:
•People
who have severe allergic reactions to mushroom should not
take Lingzhi: It is very rare for people to develop a rash with
Lingzhi, but skin rashes and itchiness do occur. In those who
suffer mildly from allergies, Lingzhi can be taken for 2-3 days
until the allergy clears up. If the situation is severe, one should
stop taking the under all circumstances. (eg other allergic
reactions are pollen, seafood)
•Lingzhi
should not be taken immediately before or after surgical
operations. We recommend to stop using Ganoderma product about
1 weeks before and after the surgery.
•Patients
who have undergone organ transplant operations should not
take Lingzhi as it actually enhances immunity against
foreignsubstances. In this case, the transplanted organ is at
risk.
•Patients
who have had a severe haemorrhage associated with surgical
trauma should avoid Lingzhi.
5. Are
all
